The dragon
In Romanian fairy tales, the zmeu is a dragon: clever, a little wild, living at the far edge of the world where heroes go to prove themselves.
Wild ideas on a careful string. We make things tailored to people, and built to make them smile.
The name
In Romanian fairy tales, the zmeu is a dragon: clever, a little wild, living at the far edge of the world where heroes go to prove themselves.
Ask a Romanian child, though, and a zmeu is a paper kite, tugging at its string on a windy afternoon.
We love that one word holds both: a story you could get lost in, and a thing you can hold by a string.
How we work
Every kite needs two things: a good tail to keep it steady, and a little wind to set it free. We bring both.
Everything starts with the people on the other side of the screen. We cut, measure and adjust until it fits like it was always theirs.
No assembly line. Every piece passes through the same careful hands, from the first fold to the final flight.
Like any good dragon, we wander. Playful or practical, if it can make someone smile, we want to build it.
In the workshop
Others are still being folded, tied and tested on the wind. Got an idea that needs wings? Come say hello.
